The first written record of the village\u2019s foundation dates from 1259, when Bela IV donated the land of THERNE, originally belonging to \u0160ari\u0161 Castle, to the Polish knight Adam.\u00a0Later, the village became the hereditary estate of the Thekul family and, in the 19th century, of the Bornemisz family. The village <strong>Ter\u0148a<\/strong> neighbouring municipalities were also incorporated <strong>Babin Potok <\/strong>a <strong>Hradisko and Podhradisko<\/strong>. The Slovak name of the village is derived from the word \u2018t\u0155nie\u2019 in the \u0160ari\u0161 dialect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The architectural design of the manor house<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the central part of the village, you will find the original <strong>Renaissance manor house<\/strong> Dating from 1509. It has a single- and double-wing layout, an irregular rectangular floor plan and is a single-storey building. The extension with the staircase is designed as a raised ground floor. The fa\u00e7ades were divided by corner pilasters with ornate Rococo stucco capitals, linked by a cornice. In the central axis of the extension are the remains of a lunette portal, above which is a small balcony that once featured a Rococo grille. The balcony was accessed via a grand door with rich stucco decoration. The extension, which houses the staircase, is designed in the style of a raised ground floor. The fa\u00e7ades were divided by corner pilasters with ornate Rococo stucco capitals, linked by a cornice.
