Lipany – Kamenica Castle – Lipany Cycle Route

Circular cycle route to Kamenický Castle Stretching 17 km, it begins in the town of Lipany, where the main landmark is a national cultural monument St Martin’s Church. A rare species grows nearby a 300-year-old lime tree, which was awarded the title of Tree of the Year in 2011. The Jewish cemetery is also an important national cultural monument.

Added value in the form of insights

The route follows unpaved roads and footpaths, through woods and fields below Kamenica Castle, and is therefore best suited to mountain bikes. The striking ruins of Kamenica Castle, which tower on a high cliff, offer magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. The return route to Lipany passes through the village of Lúčky.
